Sean Sanchez, MD

Dr. Sanchez is a board-certified nephrologist who has been dedicated to caring for the Spokane community since 2012. Originally from Portland, Oregon, he has deep roots in the Pacific Northwest and is passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Clinically, Dr. Sanchez specializes in managing complex kidney conditions, with specific expertise in IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, and polycystic kidney disease.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Sanchez stays busy raising three active children. In his free time, he enjoys collecting silver and baseball cards, watching college football with friends, and spending weekends exploring the lakes of Eastern Washington.

Matthew Ray, DO

Dr. Matthew Ray is a board-certified nephrologist and bioethicist who brings a deeply principled approach to renal care. With a unique academic foundation in philosophy and religion alongside a Master of Arts in Bioethics from New York University, Dr. Ray views medicine through a lens of equity and human connection. He is dedicated not only to achieving the best possible clinical outcomes for his patients but also to addressing and mending the systemic inequities often found within the healthcare system.
Dr. Ray’s extensive clinical training includes a residency at the University of Washington and a specialized fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Colorado. Since 2020, he has served the Inland Northwest community, specializing in the management of complex kidney diseases and hypertension. Beyond the clinic, Dr. Ray is an educator who believes in the inherent importance of the life we live. He values deep connection with his patients and the people he holds dear, often finding balance and inspiration in the beauty of the outdoors.

Satinder Singh, MD

Dr. Satinder Singh brings a global perspective and deep clinical expertise to the Pacific Northwest Kidney & Hypertension Institute. After completing his initial medical training in Delhi, India, he moved to New York to complete both his residency and fellowship at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
Dr. Singh has developed a reputation for excellence in specialized areas of renal care, with a particular focus on Kidney Stones and ICU Nephrology. He is committed to community-based care and holds memberships in several prestigious organizations, including the National Kidney Foundation and the Renal Physician Association. Dr. Singh believes in empowering his patients through education to better manage chronic conditions.

Catherine Larned, MD

Dr. Larned is a board-certified nephrologist and is excited to be a part of the Inland Northwest nephrology community. Her philosophy is to meet patients where they are in their journey with kidney disease in order to provide compassionate, comprehensive care. She prioritizes clear communication and views healthcare as a collaboration between patients and physicians. She looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and families throughout the region and helping expand access to specialized kidney care.
Prior to bringing her experience to Spokane, Dr. Larned spent 13 years as an active-duty Navy physician, caring for military members and veterans around the world. During her military career, she served as a flight surgeon, general internist, and nephrologist, experiences that shaped her appreciation for caring for diverse patient populations and meeting the unique needs of each individual. Away from the clinic and hospital, she enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with her children and family.

Amanda Fiola, PA-C
Amanda Fiola, PA-C, graduated from the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program in 2004. She has devoted the majority of her career to nephrology, with a particular passion for caring for patients receiving dialysis.
Amanda values the opportunity nephrology provides to support patients and their families through the challenges of kidney disease. She strives to offer compassionate, individualized care while helping patients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they navigate both the physical and emotional aspects of their condition.
A longtime resident of the Pacific Northwest, Amanda appreciates the natural beauty and variety of activities the region offers. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, hiking, lake days, road trips, working out, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Rachel White, ARNP
Rachel is a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult Acute Care-Gerontology and Family Practice with subspecialty certification in Nephrology. She was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada where she graduated with her RN prior to relocating to Anchorage, Alaska. Trading big city life for the outdoors spurred her love for nature and adventure. She took that opportunity to summit mountains, complete triathlons, and learn to fish and ski.
She has extensive experience managing complex kidney disease and critical care, including consultative nephrology and dialysis.
She is passionate about education both in her daily encounters with patients as well as professionally. She obtained an adjunct faculty position at University Alaska Anchorage in their nursing department and was also a local preceptor for mentoring Nurse Practitioner Students. She believes deeply in the human experience of medicine and is the foundation of her daily practice.
